Dangerous ALS takes away Bryan Randall from American actor Sandra Bullock

Los Angeles: Bryan Randall, the longtime partner of American actor Sandra Bullock, has died, according to a statement by his family to US-based People magazine.

He was 57 years old. According to information provided by his family, Bryan Randall peacefully lost his battle with ALS on August 5 after a three-year struggle. Bryan had made the decision early on to keep his ALS journey private, and those of us who cared about him did best to follow his wishes.

The family, quoted in People, said, “We are so grateful to the tireless doctors who handled this disease scenario with us and to those amazing nurses Prati who became our roommate, often abandoning her families to be with us.” “At this time we ask for privacy to mourn and acknowledge the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan,” the final words of the statement were “his loving family.”

When Louis was born in January 2015, Bullock and model-turned-photographer Randall collaborated for the first time.Later that year, he made their relationship more public by attending the wedding of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. During an appearance on Red Table Talk in December 2021, Bullock, mother of 13-year-old Louis and 10-year-old Layla, discussed marriage. Bullock said at the time, “I found the love of my life. We have two beautiful kids—three kids, Randall’s older daughter. It’s the greatest thing to ever occur.”

She said, “She doesn’t want to say do it the way she does it, but a dedicated partner and she doesn’t need any paper to be a devoted mother.” “I don’t need to be asked to always be there in the most trying of times,” she continued. I don’t need to be asked to weather the storm with a good man.” Bullock previously said in the same Red Table Talk episode that Randall is a wonderful “example” to his children.

“She is the example I want my kids to have,” said the Bird Box star. “I have a partner who is very Christian and there are two different ways of looking at things. I don’t always agree with him, and he doesn’t always agree with me. But even when I don’t agree he’s an example to them.”  “I’m stubborn but sometimes I need to sit back and listen and say, ‘You’re saying it differently but we mean exactly the same thing,'” she said during the appearance. “I want to parent on my own, so co-parenting is difficult for me.” In lieu of flowers, the family of Randall has asked for contributions to Massachusetts General Hospital and the ALS Association.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

You would have heard about celebs that they are becoming a part of ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’. You know that these celebs are taking up this challenge to spread awareness about ALS, ie Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, but do you know about this dangerous disease?

According to the ALS Association, the disease kills one American every 90 minutes. This disease occurs in people of 40 to 70 years.

What is ‘Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis’ (ALS)

It is also known as motor neuron disease (MND) and Charcot disease. In America this disease is also known as Lou Ghairig. It is a disease related to nerve cells and there are many reasons for this. In this, the muscles of the human body begin to tighten and slowly begin to decrease. Apart from this, the patient feels very weak, he cannot speak properly, there is difficulty in swallowing food, even in breathing.
Key term ‘neuron’: Neurons are part of the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system. Sensory neurons detect senses (sound, light, touch), and transmit these signals to the brain and spinal cord. Then the motor neurons recognize these signals from the brain and spinal cord and due to this there is movement in the muscles.

These 5 disorders lead to motor neuron diseases and one of them is ALS.

1. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
2.Primary lateral sclerosis
3. Progressive muscular atrophy
4. Progressive Bulbar Palsy
5. Pseudobulbar palsy
